Jeff Kemmer – Treasurer

How long have you been a brewmaster?
I did a tasty Brown Porter as a 3 gallon boil topped up to 5 gallons on 10/27/12 (Everyone keeps notes, right?) and have been brewing regularly ever since.

What is your favorite beer to brew?
One of the things I like most about craft beer is the seemingly endless variety. Going back to tweak an old favorite recipe is fun, but trying to brew something new for the first time is a special experience. I haven't latched onto a signature style to brew. Yet.

What is your favorite beer to drink?
It's summertime when you're asking me for a favorite beer to drink, so I'll say a Gose, which I always find refreshing and interesting. Ask me in six months and I'll have a different answer.

What is your role on the brew fest committee?
I'm the treasurer so I keep track of projected/actual expenses, cash flow, etc. This is my first experience with this type of thing so I'm learning quite a lot from other committee members.

What are you looking forward to most at this year's TC Brew Fest?
The Brew Fest for me is an opportunity to connect with a wide swath of the craft brew world all in one location. Swapping beer stories and brewing tips with other homebrewer's and professionals is something for each of us to look forward to doing.
